A used mattress is one of the more annoying things to get rid of in Adelaide. It won’t fit in the bin, it’s awkward to move, charity stores rarely take them and the council hard waste runs are slow and limited. So most people leave them stacked against the side of the house — sometimes for months.
We do this every week. We bring two people and a truck, take the mattress (or stack of them) from wherever it sits — bedroom, garage, backyard, kerb — load it, and take it straight to a facility that can recycle the steel and foam where possible. You don’t have to lift, drag or strap anything.

Adelaide councils run hard waste collection services, but they’re slow (often 2–6 weeks wait), capped at a couple of bookings per year, and most charge a per-item fee for mattresses. Some require you to drag the mattress to the kerb the night before, which isn’t always practical — especially upstairs in units. We come when you’re ready, take it from inside, and you’re done.
