1. Who We Are
Adelaide Rubbish Removal Co operates at adelaiderubbishremovalco.com.au and provides rubbish removal services across Adelaide, South Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" or "our" refers to Adelaide Rubbish Removal Co.
2. Information We Collect
We collect personal information you provide when:
- Filling in a quote request form on our website
- Calling us or communicating by email
- Booking a job with our team
This information may include your name, phone number, email address, property address and details about your rubbish removal requirements.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Respond to quote requests and enquiries
- Schedule and deliver rubbish removal services
- Send service-related communications
- Improve our services and website
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
We use third-party tools including CRM software (HighLevel) to manage customer enquiries and bookings. These services have their own privacy policies and data handling practices.
5. Photos Taken on Job Sites
Our crews may take photos before, during or after a job for the following purposes:
- Documenting the volume of rubbish for our internal records and your invoice
- Recording any pre-existing damage to property at the start of a job (to keep our liability fair)
- Confirming completion of the job for your reference and ours
- Disposal documentation for estate, insurance or commercial clients on request
Job photos are stored privately. We do not publish photos of your property, contents or address. If we'd like to use a photo for marketing — for example a before/after garage cleanout — we'll ask for your written permission first and de-identify the property.
6. Cookies & Analytics
By using this website you consent to the use of cookies as described below. Cookies are small text files stored in your browser that help the site work correctly and let us understand how it is being used.
Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure how visitors find and use this site — for example, which pages are most read, which suburb pages drive the most enquiries, and which traffic sources (Google search, direct, referrals) bring people to us. GA4 sets cookies in your browser and collects:
- Pages viewed and time spent on each page
- Approximate location (country, state, city) derived from your IP address — Google truncates the IP and we never see the full address
- Device type, browser and operating system
- Referring website or search source (we do not see your actual search terms)
We use this data only in aggregate to improve the site. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with any personal information you submit through quote forms.
Opting out of analytics. You have several options if you do not want to be tracked:
- Install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Enable "Do Not Track" or block third-party cookies in your browser settings
- Use a privacy-focused browser or browser extension that blocks analytics scripts
Opting out will not affect our ability to deliver service to you in any way.
Other third-party services. Our quote form is embedded via LeadFlux (built on the HighLevel CRM platform). When you submit a form, your details go directly to our CRM. The form embed itself may also set functional cookies. We do not currently run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or social media trackers. If that changes, we will update this policy and add an appropriate consent banner.
7. Data Retention
Personal information collected through quote requests is retained for the period reasonably necessary to provide service and meet our record-keeping obligations:
- Quote-only enquiries (no booking made): retained for 12 months then deleted
- Completed jobs: customer details retained for 7 years to meet ATO record-keeping requirements for tax invoices
- Job site photos: retained for 12 months then deleted (longer if you've requested a disposal record for legal or insurance reasons)
- Marketing email addresses (where you've opted in): retained until you unsubscribe
8. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. Our website uses HTTPS encryption. Customer data stored in our CRM is access-restricted to authorised staff only. We do not share or sell your information to third parties.
If we suffer a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme. Our crew, contractors and office staff are trained to keep customer information confidential — particularly for sensitive jobs like deceased estate cleanouts where discretion is critical.
9. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal information. Contact us at info@adelaiderubbishremovalco.com.au to exercise these rights. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
